Lore Council Guidelines

This guideline is for the public community to understand the prohibited content we do not allow as well as what we look for in character/family/clan biographies.

No sexual mentions AT ALL	Relations to important figures such as celestials and royals. No embodiments.	Can not have your character worshipped or the main figure of a religion. Any Character disabilities/disorders are only to be interpreted through insinuation of the character, so as to prohibit misrepresentation and unintentional offensive implications.

RP Families and Clans Guidelines

3/5 Family Members need to have their bios approved
4/7 Clan/Group Members need to have their bios approved
There needs to be a clear motto, a detailed backstory, and detailed beliefs, etc.
More than one paragraph for the backstory
Crest/Emblems and Estate Info isn’t needed currently until they’re ready/post-release
Estates need to be approved first by Kingdom Leaders to see if they fit the build style, for Kingdomless it’ll be approved by staff, so they need to make a separate ticket for that before putting the estate in the family/clan application.

More Detailed Rules

Minors [anyone below 18] may NOT have any romantic or sexual relations with an adult. Minors may have romantic relationships with other minors. If you are currently a minor, but become an adult, you may change your role from minor to adult in the discord when you turn 18.
Trigger warnings must be displayed at the top of every character bio for any bio that includes, but is not limited to: gore [blood/violence/scars/etc], abandonment, near death experiences [drowning, starvation, etc]. You do not need a trigger warning for the mention of death (e.g, "My character's mother died at a young age" or "He lived with his grandfather until he passed away." However, if the death involves anything listed above, or is related to a sensitive topic, or is described in detail, a trigger warning is required.
Any sexual behavior in lore, including character bios, roleplay, journals, etc, is strictly prohibited in all forms. Players may not include it in backstories, discuss it, or expect it to appear in any lore, or gameplay. It is entirely not allowed. References to reproduction are allowed only if they remain brief and non-explicit (e.g., “My parents were young when they had me” or “I gave birth to my daughter last month”).
Sexual harassment is not tolerated under any circumstances and may constitute disciplinary action. This includes, but is not limited to, any unwanted or reasonably inferred unwanted sexualized conduct. Examples include inappropriate comments, physical contact, staring, gestures, or exposing others to nudity or pornography (including involving someone in such material, whether seen or not). Genital nudity is strictly prohibited.
Self harm is not allowed to be mentioned in any context, including lore, roleplay, character bios, or anywhere in Iterum [both discord and in-game]. Things such as scars, burns, blood, etc are allowed with the proper trigger warnings displayed at the top of the bio. However, they may not be self-inflicted. This includes thoughts of self harm. This also includes suicide.
Characters may have psychological disorders, but disorders may not cause things listed above, including anything related to self harm.
Racism, both towards IRL races and Iterum playable races, is not allowed in any contexts. The usage of slurs (including made-up ones for Iterum races) is prohibited. Furthermore, mentions of genocide, hate speech, or prejudice towards races is not allowed.
